Teams connect canvas goals to execution boards. Workspace Settings → Teams is where you create teams, edit names, open board settings, and manage deactivated teams.
Open the Teams tab
Open Workspace Settings and select Teams. Active lists teams used for accountable assignment and boards. Deactivated holds teams you turned off without deleting historical board data.
Create and edit teams
Click Create Team to add a name and optional description. Names must be unique in the workspace.
Edit a team to update its display name or description. Changing a team name updates how it appears on cards and boards.
Members and above can create and edit teams. Viewers can see team names on cards but cannot manage teams.
Board settings per team
Each active team row has a board icon. Click it to open Board Settings for that team: Kanban vs Scrum, system columns, WIP limits, and iteration schedule.
Board configuration is documented in Board setup. Saving there affects everyone who uses that team board.
Deactivate and restore
Deactivating a team removes it from pickers for new accountable assignment. Existing cards may still reference the team until you change them.
Restore from Deactivated when you bring a team back. Coordinate with leads before deactivating a team that still has active board work.
