Yirar Advisor overview

What the Advisor is, where to open it, and how threads work.

Yirar Advisor reads your canvas, cards, and team boards so answers match your real program. Use it to sharpen wording, plan the next layer of work, pull delivery facts, or stress-test alignment across a subtree.

Where to open the Advisor

On the canvas you have two entry points:

  • Map Advisor (sparkle on the bottom toolbar): conversation about the whole canvas. Good for cross-cutting questions, delivery reports across the map, or a tree audit from the top.
  • Card Advisor (Advisor pill on a card): conversation anchored to that card and its thread. Good for one goal, its children, and verification links.

Both open the same Advisor panel. The header shows which card is in focus when you started from a card.

Map thread vs card thread

Card thread history is tied to the card you opened Advisor from. Switching to another card and opening Advisor again uses that card's thread (or starts fresh if you have not chatted there before).

Map thread history is tied to the canvas, not a single card. Modes that need a specific card (see Advisor modes) are only available on a card thread.

Conversation tabs

Inside the Advisor panel you can run multiple conversations as tabs (like browser tabs). Use New chat to start a clean thread without losing older tabs. Close a tab when you are done; history for that conversation stays on the server until you remove it.

Each tab remembers its own messages for the same map or card anchor. Switch tabs to compare two lines of thinking side by side.

What the Advisor knows

What it can use. The Advisor works from the current workspace and the canvas you have open: cards on that map, summaries and descriptions, teams and board status where relevant, parent and child links, and verification threads.

What stays outside its view. This is important for privacy and focus:

  • Other workspaces are never included, even if you are a member elsewhere.
  • Private canvases you cannot open are never included. If you lack access to a canvas, cards that exist only there are invisible to the Advisor on this map.
  • Switching workspace or opening a different canvas changes what the Advisor can see on the next message.

Workspace managers can add workspace advisor notes and refresh related card data under Workspace Settings (see Advisor workspace settings). Those tune tone and consistency for everyone in the workspace.

Usage allowance

Advisor calls consume Logic Units (LU) against your workspace monthly allowance (UTC month). Heavy modes (long chats, Deep tree audit, large layer plans) use more LU than a short question.

When the cap is reached, new Advisor requests are blocked until the next UTC month or an owner raises the limit. Members can view usage in Workspace Settings; owners and admins manage the cap.
