Canvases are the maps where you break down goals. In Workspace Settings → Canvases you create canvases, set visibility, share private canvases, and restore deactivated ones.
Open the Canvases tab
Open Workspace Settings from the workspace menu and select Canvases. Active lists canvases you can open today. Deactivated holds canvases that were turned off without deleting their cards.
Create and edit a canvas
Click Create Canvas (or edit an existing row) to set name and optional description. Names must be unique within the workspace.
Members and above can create and edit canvases. Viewers can open canvases they can see but cannot create or change them.
Workspace vs private visibility
Workspace visibility means every member of the workspace can open the canvas and see cards on it.
Private visibility limits access to the canvas owner (who created it) plus people you explicitly share with. Private canvases do not appear in the map switcher for others, and the Advisor cannot use cards that exist only on private canvases you cannot open (see Advisor overview).
Share a private canvas
When visibility is Private, add workspace members from the share list in the create/edit dialog. You can add people when creating the canvas or later when editing it.
Only the canvas owner can change visibility and sharing. Removing someone revokes their access immediately.
Deactivate and restore
Deactivating a canvas removes it from the active list and map switcher but keeps its cards and structure. Restore from the Deactivated tab when you need the map again.
Use deactivation when a initiative is paused or archived instead of deleting work on the canvas.
